Artist Bio
Originally from Woodbury, Connecticut, Nicole Cassidy (b. 1996) is a multidisciplinary artist currently residing in Denver, Colorado. She is working towards receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with an expected graduation date of Fall 2024. The themes present in Nicole’s work often relate to her personal history of growing up in rural New England, with a focus on the importance of ritual and the various facets of grief. Her work is comprised of installation, sculpture, and painting that commonly incorporate photos from childhood; fabrics such as linens, clothing, and bedding; and organic materials sourced from nature.
Nicole has shown work at BRDG Gallery, D’Art Gallery, Memento Mori Gallery, 40 West Art Gallery, and most recently her first solo show at Rude Gallery. She is currently the curator for Metropolis Coffee and gallery attendant for the Philip J. Steele Gallery.
